Just wanted to let everyone know that we’ve gone through the updated CISSP Common Body of Knowledge that was rolled out on April 15, 2024, and are swiftly in the process of writing new questions for you. We know that the ultimate question that everyone has on their mind is “how long will this take?” Unfortunately there’s no easy way to answer that question.
We’ve identified approximately 229 new concepts and terms that will require new or revised questions. It can take anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour (or more) to write an exam-style question, as it’s a highly creative process that sometimes requires additional research to ensure that the CBK is accurate (yes, the CBK sometimes has mistakes in it) and that the creative question-writing process hasn’t been too liberal with the content. Since we maintain this website in our spare time, it’s hard to say exactly how long it will take.
The best we can say is that we will work as quickly as possible and that updates are underway. In addition to the CBK update, we also have an issue with the current quiz engine that will require us to re-enter all existing questions into the site manually. That project alone will take a few weeks, given that we currently have 1500, and if a single question takes an hour to write, and the few of us who maintain the site have day jobs and families, well, you can do the math.
Quality takes time my friends, but we are looking forward to our updates and are confident that we will continue to be the best available (and affordable) resource to aspiring CISSP candidates. Best of luck in your studies, and remember, you can never over-prepare for this exam!
