Our content frequently references a “memorization sheet” that our students/mentees should use, but we’ve gotten some feedback and some questions as to what this means.

As you prepare for the CISSP exam, whether you read books or watch online lessons, you’ll run into concepts that are foreign or difficult to understand. These are the things you’ll need to either commit to memory, or find some way to light your path to remembering the concept.

Since I happen to be a creative person, I started coming up with mnemonics for the most difficult topics that our group faced. Not only did I enjoy doing it, but the group enjoyed it and benefited from my efforts.

During the course of our studies, I wrote and re-wrote portions of the study sheet. I remember writing down the OSI layers at least 50 times until I had each component memorized. Consequently the study sheet became a memorization sheet, and I began writing down each and every concept that was difficult for me, over and over, like a disciplined child at the chalk board in elementary school. The result? I was able to commit things to memory that I previously thought would be impossible.

I recommend that each of you do this on your own, because everyone has different levels of understanding the material, but for those of you who need a starting point. Here it is.

So without further ado, I’ve shared the memorization sheet link in the video description below (follow the link to our YouTube channel).
