This video explains the purpose of information security, which is to protect and ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information assets. Primarily this refers to data as an “asset” but can also mean appliances and intellectual property (which I guess would be considered data).
This is the first subpart of the CISSP cirriculum in Domain 1, Security and Risk Management. As time permits, we will continue with the entire common body of knowledge (CBK), as we have some awesome memorization tips that we are excited to share with you.
